So there seems to be quite a bit of a buzz out there regarding setting up an HMC Control Panel which is Open Source & well, who can blame anyone for their interest in such a worth while project?

There is now a site setup at CodePlex called ExchangeControl - I would recommend checking it out & signing up if you have even a few measly hours a week to dedicate to a small portion of such a project.
